You don't have a motivation problem.

You have an identity problem. For Christians who know the truth, believe the truth, and still can't seem to live it.

The proof

81%

rate their commitment to change an 8, 9, or 10 out of 10.

3–5

is how most of those same people rate their actual daily habits.

Read that again.

It was never willpower. I have the data. Over six hundred Christians have filled out the Initial Assessment to work with me. Almost everyone is fully committed. Almost nobody can follow through. If commitment were the answer, that gap wouldn't exist. That's not hypocrisy. That's the exact thing we're here to fix.

Real words. Real assessments.

You're not the only one who can't say this out loud.

"I keep repenting for the same thing and nothing changes."

"I have so much vision. So much procrastination."

"I can't look at myself without hating what I see."

"I do it out of my own strength and find myself stuck in a circle."

"I feel disconnected from God even though I love Him."

"I've tried everything. After 2–6 weeks I get overwhelmed and go back to my old habits."

Real words, from real assessments, from people who found this page the same way you did. If one of those is yours, keep reading.

The mechanism

Every program you've ever tried handed you a protocol.

A protocol is what you do. A paradigm is how you see: the story running underneath everything about God, the world, and who you believe you are. Everyone hands you a protocol and hopes it will change your paradigm. It's exactly backwards. The behavior always eventually matches the belief. So we go the other direction: paradigm before protocol.

"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."

— Proverbs 4:23

Protocol first

  • Do the habits until you become someone new.
  • Runs on willpower — and willpower runs out.
  • Works until the hard week.
  • Falling off means starting over.

Paradigm first

  • Settle who you are, and the habits follow.
  • Runs on identity — and identity holds.
  • Survives the hard week.
  • Falling off means resetting the same day.

The assessment

Which lie have you been living from?

Almost everyone who comes to us is living from one of three. Not because they're broken — because somewhere along the way, they believed something about themselves that was never true, then built a life on top of it.

The Performer

“My value is based on what I produce.” Looks consistent from the outside. Burning out on the inside. “I'm not enough no matter how much I do.”

The Shame Carrier

“I'm too far gone.” Hides, self-sabotages, and slowly withdraws from God. “I feel lost, broken, dirty, ashamed, worthless.”

The Fearful Avoider

“It's safer not to try.” Endless preparation. No forward movement. “I know what I should do. I just can't make myself start.”

The story

Captain Taylor Morgan, founder of The Healthy Christian
Captain Taylor Morgan

I learned this the most expensive way there is.

I was a machine gunner in the Marine Corps. Then a head CrossFit coach, running the largest CrossFit gym in Saudi Arabia. I created a lifestyle optimization business that genuinely changed lives. Discipline was never my issue. I'm the man who trained for four hours before anyone else showed up.

Then in 2025, I lost almost all of it: the woman I thought I'd marry, my dream apartment overlooking the ocean in Laguna Beach, my car, and my Instagram account with 283,000 followers... hacked and deleted overnight.

I'd built my entire identity on my performance, what had and what I could produce. When I lost it all, there was nothing underneath to hold me. Everything on this site is what I found on the other side of that. And every piece of it, I needed first.

The eight pillars

Back to the Basics

Eight pillars, twelve weeks, in this order for a reason. You can't renew a mind that hasn't settled who it belongs to.

01

Identity

Who you already are in Christ. Everything else rests here.

02

Abide

Scripture, prayer, and stillness that stop being a checklist.

03

Surrender

Freedom from what's had its grip on you for years.

04

Steward

Your time, talent, treasure, and temple.

05

Serve

Love made visible — and why pouring out fills you.

06

Sabbath

Rest as trust, not as a reward you finally earned.

07

Commune

The people around you are forming you either way.

08

Calling

Why you, specifically, are here.

You've spent years working on the behavior.

Let's go underneath it.

Let's go underneath it. There's no condemnation here for how many times you've started over. But something does have to change — and it isn't going to be your effort. You've already given that everything you had.
